Sigtuna - Sweden
Less than one hour from Stockholm and only 15 minutes from Arlanda lies Sigtuna, Sweden's first city.
Sigtuna was founded in viking times, around 970, by King Erik Segersall. For less than one hundred years it was the only city in Sweden.
It was here that great men stayed to make important decisions, perform trade and entertain themselves - a tradition that continues to the present day . Discover our history among Viking rune stones and church ruins from the middle Ages.
