A 1000 km trail through beautiful countryside The Sormland trail passes through varied countryside, including "wilderness" areas, cultural landscapes and sites of historical interest. The long-distance path is waymarked with orange circles around trees or poles, signs with SORMLANDSLEDEN ans S-arrows, in places, the orange colour is supplemented with  blue e.g. on arrow tips or a dot in the circle around a tree, indicating that the section also forms part of a circular route. Planks and footbridges take walkers across sensitive and waterlogged areas.  Signs are erected at the beginning of each section, with maps and descriptions of the adjoining sections. Namdo - The celebrated Archipelago Rogrund Fjardlang UTO - Mining Industry Ans Seaside Resort Alo, Rano And Nattaro - Relaxation At Its most Comfortable landsort lighthouse, located on the southern-most tip of Oja, is the oldest in Sweden.  The present lighthouse was built in he 1670s, but research shows some kind of beacon on the same spot pre-dating the current one by many years.  The lighthouse is 25 metres high and its light, five flashes every 60 seconds, is visible for 22 nautical miles. A trip with a classic steamer is perhaps everyone's favourite.
