Larry's Foster's life-sized sculpture of Sandy the Gray Whale graces the front of the Museum.. Sandy is perhaps the most climbed and photographed whale in America. Each fall thousands of Monarch butterflies overwinter in Pacific Grove. The Museum features the phenomenon of the butterfly trees with a short film and diorama.
