The Sihlcity shopping mall with its many restaurants and entertainment opportunities is jut around the corner and the city centre is close by tram or on  foot (15 min) if you don't like going out at all , the in-house restaurant Orangerie serves good Swiss and French-style food. Opened in 2006, in the new district of Derlikon train station and near the exhibition centre, the Courtyard by Marriott is just five minutes by train from the airport and seven from the city centre. Rooms have either a king-size bed or two single ones, and free tea and coffee. Thanks to the iron and ironing board provided there's no excuse for turning up at tomorrow;s meeting with your suit lookimg anything but perfect.  A small shop at the reception offers sandwiches and drinks around the clock. The Marta is a functional hotel, very centrally located in the Niederdorf, just a few minutes away from the main train station. It was completely refurbished in 2010 and the blue coloured rooms have a modern feel now. There is a twin bed, a bathroom with shower and a flatscreenTV in every room, as well as WI-FI throughout the hotel. The hotel is run by a non-profit cooperation, giving socially challenged women am opportunity to work.  There is no air-conditioning but ventilators. Central is the name , and central it is indeed. The old town starts right in front of the main entrance. With a tram junction next to the hotel, it's not the quietest spot - but the triple glazing shuts out the city's noise. Standard rooms are rather small, but live up to the standard you can expect of a hotel of this class.  There is free WI FI and wired internet. Ask for a room with a view onto the river or one of the two-room junior suites.  One of the suites even has a glass ceiling so you can watch the stars while you fall asleep. No air-conditioning but an air cool system. Fitness room, piano bar and King's cave restaurant - known for its excellent sirlon - are in the building too. The Limmathof is centrally located at the entrance to Niederdorf close to the main station and most of Zurich's sights. The rooms are plain and the furniture is a little long in the tooth - but all clean and nice, wooden floors and soundproof windows.  There is a TV and a shower or buthtub in every room. WI FI can be used for free in the common area. Not a modern hotel, but quite cheap for its location.
