Lovers of arts are in their element in the Upper Rhine Valley. A number of museums throughout the region celebrate the spirit of technical innovation: the drasine, the forerunner of the bicycle is honored in Karlsruhe, the history of clock making and cuckoo clocks in Furtwangen, and in Mulhouse the focus is on fabric printing and the history of automobiles and railways.
