From Sarnico To Lovere - Val Camonica, Italy
The municipality of Sarnico is geographically considered the capital of Southern Lake Sebino, and is an obligatory crossroad between the Brescia and Bergamo sides of Lake Iseo, which it overlooks. Its position has greatly contributed to its development, so much so that for years has been one of the richest municipalities of Italy. Behind the village are the remains of a quarry, almost abandoned for the famous ' Sarnico stone' dominated by the peaks of the Colle della Rocca. These vertical plates, which enrich the landscape without making it any less attractive, are visible from many miles away and point the way to the lake itself.
