The Vaud Jurassic Park is a preserved zone, covering more than 100km between the Givrine. From forests to pastures,the wild looking jurassic landscapes have been created to forestry and pasture exploitation. The stone walls belong to the jurassic landscape, they have been built to demarcate the propeerties and the livestock enclosures. The main human activity is summering on mountain pastures. The seasonal handcrafted production of cheese June - September: direct selling0 still takes place in 5 chalets: le Pre' de Biere, Les Amburnex, La Bassine, Les Fruitieres de Nyon et le Cerney.
