Feed the Birds recipe

Bird cake recipe: Mix 225 g of melted lard 450g of seeds, nuts, oatmeal, cheese, dried fruits and scraps, and leave to set in yogurt pots or halved coconut shells, through the base of which a string has been threaded. Chill throughly.Just before serving, slowly stir in the ginger ale. Pour into a punch bowl and add ice cubes. For a less sweet punch, substitute soda water or sparkling mineral water for the ginger ale.
