Ballenberg is in fact absolutely unique. The doors are open. Come in and have a look round the kitchens, bedrooms and living room of the authentically reconstructed houses and farm buildings from the past centuries. In an area of 66 hectares, typical houses and settlements from almost every region in Switzerland can be seen. In our workshops craftsmen, using original tools, demonstrate old handicrafts and trades: from wood-craving, basket-weaving, spinning, weaving, bobbin-lace making and forging to making cheese and baking bread.
