The Borough of Coleraine offers a varied range of excellent walking opportunities for walkers of all abilities. The range of spectacular coastal walks includes the following:  Downhill Estate, Castlerock Beach, Portstewart Strand, Portstewart Cliff Path, the Port Path, West Bay and East strand (Portrush), the White Rocks and Portballintoe. ww.northcoastni.com Additionally there are several riverside routes in both urban and rural locations and opportunities also exist to walk in many forests throughout the area. Hill walking is catered for in the south of the Borough at Glenullin, where two waymarked trails enable walkers to experience rural life in the tranquility of the North Sperrins foothills. For those walkers looking for a challenge, the Ulster Way, incorporating the Causeway Coast Way and the North Sperrins Way, passes through the Borough.
