Bouillon Castle and Falconry Centre - Belgium

Bouillon Castle is the remarkable result of almost a thousand years of history and military architectural design.  From the top of the Austrian Tower (1551) to the River Semois flowing below, visitors can explore the site, ideally combined with visits to the Archeoscope and the Ducal Museum. Every day from 1 March to 11 November (and at weekends and during school holidays in the rest of the year) they can also watch a spectacular falconry display. Reinhardstein Castle - Belgium

Originally built in 1354 by Reinhard de Wames, the castle has been home to many noble families, including the Nesselrodes, the Nassus and finally the Counts of Metternich, who lived here for more than 300 years. Destroyed following the French Revolution, the castle was completely rebuilt in 1969 and is now a veritable living museum. On this site, a neolithic home was followed by a settlement, then a Roman fort, then the palace of the Frankish kings. Between mid-July and mid-August, the ghost of Berthe de la Roche makes, appearance every evening (except when very windy or raining).
