Museum Airborne Sainte -Mere- Eglise Sainte -Mere- Eglise was the first town to have been liberated on the night of 5 th -6 th June 1944. The Airborne Museum comprises two buildings in a 3000 metre squared park near the church which is in the village square. Two buildings built in the form of a parachute, house a genuine Waco glider along with many other displays with vintage documents, testimonies weapons, munitions, material and a liberty torch.
