Arme'museum (Army Museum) Stockholm, Sweden
Discover Army Museum What was the everyday life like for a soldier during the Thirty Years' War, and what was it like to grow up in neutral Sweden during World War 11? The Army Museum uncovers the fascinating history of Sweden from 16th century Landsknechts to the slimmed defence forces of our time. We focus on the soldiers, their families and the countryside peasantry, and less on sprawling battles and renowned generals. We present the Raoul Wallenberg exhibition, with unique, original items that were returned to the Wallenberg family by Soviet authorities in 1989. Children are welcome to follow in the footsteps of the soldier through the museum, to experience camp life and find the spoils of war. The Trophy Chamber Take a look at our collection of amazing banners, standards and other trophies captured. The oldest items date from early 17th century, and have survived advances, retreats, victory and defeat. Restaurant and shop Our restaurant Borg...
