Porpano is an agritcultural property, situated on the outskirts of Saluzzo and has been owned by the Camisassi family for three generations. The farm is built around a large square shaped inner courtyard, and was originally owned by Cistercian monk: in fact in 1525, there is a public act, which confers that the Marques of Saluzzo, Michele Antonio, donated the estate to the Cistercian Order of Monbracco.Now a large part of the building has been converted into a delightful country hotel Web: www.anticopoderepropano.com and in the remaining agritcultural section, next to the owners house, ten rooms have been created. The spacious rooms, with terra cotta flooring, are decorated with vibrant natural colours and a mixture of vintage and contemporary furniture.
