100g streaky bacon 575g whole peeled, cooked chestnuts, drained Salt and pepper 100g fresh breadcrumbs 25g butter 1 tsp dried thyme 1 egg, beaten Fry the bacon in butter, add the cooked chestnuts, and mash with a fork, add salt, pepper breadcrumbs.
