Pastry Cocktail Slices
Roll out shortcrust pastry. Spread lightly with anchovy paste or ham spread mixed with melted butter, or very finely chopped ham. Cover with sheet of greaseproof paper. Roll lightly to press spread into pastry. Remove paper. Roll Swiss roll fashion and slice. Or leave flat and cut in sticks or fancy shapes. Bake in very hot oven (450F Mark8) until lightly browned.
