At this gastrobar, the traditional Pepito, or steak sandwich, swaps gender and becomes a Pepita, a sophisticated, tender reinterpretation of its chewier predecessor, with two perfectly toasted slices of bread and optional extras such as foie gras or green peppers. There are pepitas for everyone, with griddled tuna steak, salmon or botifarra sausages, and the tapas selection is painfully good as well: the bonito salad with capers, ther house anchovies and the aubergine fritters are like making love on the marble of the bar.
