Bicycles can be rented from Rent-A-Bike - visit; www.rent-a-bike . at many railway stations. Every station that is a starting-point in the large network of bike-hiking-routes has top condition, modern bicycles for rent. Ensure, especially during the summer, that you make bookings in advance. If you are in posession of a Swiss travel pass you get a discount. They also provide bikes for children and child seats to attach to adults' bikes. In some cities, such as Zurich and bern, you can get a free bike-rental when you leave your ID card and a small cash deposit with the hire company.

Cycle Routes: There are nine marked long-distance cycle routes throughout Switzerland, as well as many regional paths, mostly well away from traffic.
