The Goldapfel is a gingerbread museum with a historic and old fashioned shop that dates back to the 19th century as do its side rooms which host old models and tools.  Entrance is free during opening hours. Guided tours are available at any time, with or without an apertif. The Einsieden ski jumps are well worth a visit.  They are used to train top olympic athletes, host competitions and events.  During a 90-minutes guided  tour you will be shown around the jumping complex and learn about the history of ski jumping and its tradition in Einsieden, reservation required. The Minerals Museum exhibits more than 1000 minerals from all over the world - from small quartz treasures from the Alps to colourful large crystals from South America and China. Very impressive is the fluorescence cabinet: inconspicuous stones reveal an unexpected blaze of colours under ultraviolet light. The Diorama Betlehem portrays the Christmas story: from the announcement made to the sheperds, the birth of Jesus and the arrival of the three kings, up to the flight to Egypt.  With more than 450 figures, a 30 metre long painted background, it is said to be the largest Christmas crib in the world. The realistic reproduction of the landscape surrounding Betlehem is outstanding as is the seamless transition from the plastic landscape to the painted backdrop.
