\Vasteras, the city by the lake, has three magnificent castles:  Tido' -, Engso and Vasteras castle.  Tido' castle offers a comic and toy museum, and at Karlsgatan 2 there are two  museums  under the same roof . In Vasteras you wil also find Sweden's largest ancient burial - mound Anundshog. The mound is surrounded by some of the most impressive ancient remain sites in the country, including ship tumuli and an eleventh century runestone.
