The European flying squirrel lives in forests in the far north of the continent. Similar squirrels are found in both northern and tropical forests.

A monkey's intelligence enables it to grasp the concept of "Oddness" in a laboratory test using covered food walls.  One of which contains a reward in the objects covering the walls are the same colour but two are cubes and one a pyramid. The monkey quickly learns to choose the pyramid . Given two blue objects and a red one all of different shapes. It then selects the pyramid proving that it has learned to recognize shape and colour

The Uakari is a species of monkey that inhabits the tropical forests of South America. Soon after the ancestors reached the area it became isolated by a sea barrier, and the monkeys developed along slightly different lines from  their Old World relatives. All very agile forest dwellings and many, but not the uakari , are helped in climbing by the prehensile tail, which can be used as an extra hand. Some carry obvious tufts of hair. Others have bald and often brightly coloured skin on their hands.
