Heroes' Square - Budapest
Located at the end of Andrassy ut, Hosok tere is the entrance to the City Park, as well as one of the most spectacular venues in Budapest. The three main sights of the square include the Hall of Art - an exhibition hall, mainly used to, a host temporary exhibition built in 1896, the Museum of Fine Arts, a museum with an exquisite collection of European art containing works from old masters e.g. Rembrandt, Durer and Rubens - inaugurated in December 1906. as well as the Millennium Monument, linking both buildings visually, inside the niches of the two semi-circles that make up the monument, you'll find statues of famous men of the Hungarian history. Around the base of the monument are a number of equestrian statues honouring Arpad and the seven Chieftains of the Hungarian tribe, who settled their people in the area now known as Hungary.
