"Date and Walnut Cake Ingredients: 3 ozs margarine 3 ozs sugar 5 ozs self-raising flour 3 ozs chopped dates 2 ozs chopped walnuts 2 eggs Method: Cream together the margarine and sugar until soft. Thoroughly beat in the eggs and lightly stir in the flour. Add the chopped dates and walnuts. Bake in a lined 6 inch cake tin for one hour. Remove from tin and cool on wire tray.
