The Interior
The lofty entrance hall has polished concrete floors, on-site moulded concrete walls and large glass
sections overlooking the sea and forest. Nature is also present indoors - for instance acrag in the lower
restaurant. and the toilets with their eye-catching bedrock back wall. The acoustics are notably
outstanding throughout the promises.
The Art Gallery
Art and exhibitions are the core of Artpelag's activities. The art gallery covers some 1,800 square meters, and our ambition is to host exciting new exhibitions of classical, modern and contemporary art , and to explore the borderland between fine art, crafts and design.
The Restaurants
Artpelag's kitchen and bakery have already been acclaimed for their top quality. We have an a' la carte restaurant and a cafe'/ buffet restaurant- both with capacious outdoor areas and fabulous sea views.
in addition there are several large and small conference venues - including the four pavilions with sea-facing outdoor rooms.
The boardwalk
The beautiful 800m seafront boardwalk runs between the parking area and the western entrance. On the way, you will pass the guest marina for visiting boats to and from town. There are also several woodchip paths that run through the natural landscape of cliffs, forests and fields.
The Roof Terrace
The milky Way - a bridge leading up to the roof has wde, built-in shelves and a warm wall where you can lie down and lap up the sun. The Roof Terrace itself has a fantastic view of the Archipelago and a small stone labyrinth for toddlers to play in.
How to get here
Artipelag is only 20km from Stockholm. The fastest way to get here is by car or SL bus,which takes around 20 min (by car) - 40 min (By bus) from central Stockholm. For large parts of the year, you can also get here by sea.
