Southern Archipelago - Stockholm, Sweden
The Stockholm Archipelago stretches from Stavsnas all the way down to Landsort in the south. Raised islands and large bays are typical of the landscape, which is also characterized by a few big
islands with a string of smaller islets and rocks fanning outwards - before opening up to the sea.

The present lighthouse was built in he 1670s, but research shows some kind of beacon on the same spot pre-dating the current one by many years. The lighthouse is 25 metres high and its light, five flashes every 60 seconds, is visible for 22 nautical miles.
