At Junbacken, you experience something everyday!
Story Square
A visit to Junbacken usually starts with a visit to Story Square. This is where some of our best-loved characters from children's book live; characters such as Alfie Atkins, Moomin, Pettson &Findus, to name but a few. They are here to welcome you to a fun and exciting day at Junibacken
The Story Train:.
A ride on the Story Train is definitely one of the highpoints at Junibacken. The little train, with its red wagons, slowly chugs its way through Astrid Lindgren's fantastic, storybookworld, designed by illustraqtor Marit Torrqvist.
The conductor waves you off from Vimmerby Station. You meet Madicken at home in her garden, ida hoisted up the flagpole and Emil on the farm in Lonneberga. Karisson on the roof is hovering over Vasastan and Nils a bath in a sugar bowl. You visit Ronia the Robber's Daughter in the woods and the Brothers Lionheart in Nangjala. And don't be surprised if you meet a big, creepy rat on the way!
The narration that guides you on your journey is available in many different languages.
Villa Villekulla
Here, at the home of the world's strongest girl, you can play to your heart's content and make as much noise as you like! Ride on Lila gubben, whizz down the slide, play in \Pippi's kitchen, dress up, play
hopscotch and lots of other fun stuff. There is no such thing as peace and quiet at Villa Vilekulia.

No two days are alike at Junibacken. The surprises keep coming. At this year's themed exhibition, you can climb, creep and crawl about and explore. The exhibitions are based on some of our best-
loved children's books, and they vary from year to year. Entering the exhibition should be like stepping into the world of the character featured. let your imagination run wild!
Theatre
With 1,500 performances a year, Junibacken is one of Sweden's largest producers of children's theatre. The shows, which are performed several times a day, feature lots of songs and music, and are suitable for our very youngest visitors and those a litlte older.
A Fairytale Bookshop
In our large and well-stocked bookshop, we sell an unusually wide range of quality books for children, not to mention a wide selection of music, films, games, clothes, toys, soft toys, cards and posters from the world of books.
