In the summer of 1916 on the imperial divide border of the current provinces of Vicenza and Trento, units of the combat engineers of General Graziani, helped by numerous civilians including women and children, built an important barrage against the enemy, in order to protect the Vicenza plain, the line developed along the mountainous ridge of the Tre Croci range passing through Campogrosso, up tp Plan delle Fugazze.
