These days the festival is presided over by Prince Rainer 111' daughter. Princess Stephanie of Monaco, in the Chapiteau de Fontvielle, a permanent big top in the cerntre of the town.
Last year's acts included Cirque de Soleil performing acrobatic elements from their world famous show Alegria, veteran aerialist Natalia Herz, Clown d'Or winning Martin Lacey Jnr and Les Rossann's musical clowns.
