Baltherplarz / Margaretenschlosschen - Germany

Via the Schonaugasse or Spitalgasse you will reach the Baltherplatz and the Margaretenschlosschen
(Margarete's little castle")  The place owes its name to the munch of Sackingen who wrote the
biography of Saint Fridolin during the 10th century.   Within the framework of the Old Town restortation during the 1980's the place was given its present appearance.   The fountain was installed in 1986 after having been standing for years unnoted in the castle park.   The place is surrounded by
greenery and flowers.   From the Margaretenschlosschen you will have a beautiful view on the twin towers of the Fridolin cathedral.

A garden restaurant invites the guest to stay in this idyllic part of the Old Town which is situated net to a park among many trees.
