The visitor will discover many more things in the shadows of the cathedral. At the north side of will find the priest's office, the early mass- chapel built in the early 17th century as well as the closed garden
next to the priest's office with a Virgin statue in the western corner. In the outer choir of the cathedral is the tomb of the trumpeter and his wife , two lovers known worldwide since the publication of the epic poem of Joseph Victor von Scheffel in 1854. Right next to it is the representation of the Fridolin and Urso. The legend says that Fridolin raised Urso from the dead and appeared with him before the court of Rankweil in order to get his estates back that his brother Landolf had taken illegitimately.
