Alive Surf School is the longest running surf school in Northern Ireland and specialises in being safe and having fun.  We provide the best equipment available and operate 7 days a week, 12 months a year.  All our instructions are fully qualified surf coches, lifeguards and are all past or present members of the Irish Surf team.

Our lessons are designed for everyone.  All age groups are welcome from 4 year olds (in our famous kids camp) to adults of ages - the 2010 record was grabbed by a 71 year old

We also specialise in group surfing lessons, we teach primary schools, guides, BB GB stag parties, hen parties, birthday parties, work team building days or just a bunch of mates.

Lessons last for 2 hours, all equipment and tuition i provided will teach you about water safety, tides and currents, as well as teaching you to surf. Drinks and snacks are provided for after the lesson and hot chocolate for those colder days.

The school caters for everyone. From stag and hen parties, team building days for large and small

Be part of our VIP Kids Summer Surf Camps.  Running for 9 weeks mid summer all July and August.  We are the only surf school in Northern Ireland to ensure only 10 children (maximum) in our kids camp sessions.  Our kids learn everything they need to know about the beach environment, safety on the beach, tides, waves, lifeguard flags, jelly fish, safety in the sun, as well as the fine art of surfing.  Also new Whiterocks live surf web cam.  Booking is essential .  The earlier the better.

The Troggs Quicksilver Surf School is the only Quicksilver school in N Ireland and is located at the
North Coast Water Sports Centre in Portrush, Co Antrim.
Operated by Carl Russell in conjunction with Troggs Surf Shop. the Surf School aims to provide a fun, informative and safe introduction to the world of surfing.

Troggs Surf School now based of the North Coast Watersports Centre, can provide clients with the comfort of changing areas and warm showers offer a surf session.  Large group bookings or corporates events may hire the entire centre and use all facilities available.

Carl Russell is a BSA Accredited. Surfing instructor with both Level 1 and Level 2. Qualifications making him and his team, the highest qualified coaches on the coast.
Alongside these he is also a fully qualified RLSS Beach Lifeguard with CPR training and First Aid
Qualifications. Carl is qualified to coach groups and individual in a safe and fun environment from
beginner levels right through to advanced surfers. Surf lessons will include full expert tuition with use of surfboards and wetsuits and use of the centre for a discounted fee it it's a large group booking.  Many courses are available including Kids Summer Surf Camps.
Corporate Days Hen & Stag parties, progression sessions and many more, if you are interested in becoming a coach there will be courses run by Carl BSA coach
