Nordiska Museet - Sweden
Sweden's largest museum of cultural history.
Nordiska museet has exhibitions about life and work, trends and traditions, in Sweden from the 16th century to today. Our collections include clothes and fashion, textiles, furniture and interiors, jewellery, photography, folk art, glass and china. There is also an exhibition about the only indigenous people in Sweden, the Sami.
In addition to the many exhibitions, the Museum has a library, a restaurant, a shop, an enormous hall, a life-size 1940s apartment, a playhouse for children and a monumental oak statue of Gustav Vasa, king of Sweden in 1523 - 1560.

Museum was founded in 1873 by Arthur Hazelius.
Regular opening hours
Daily 10 am - 5 pm, open evenings with free admission on Wednesdays at 5 pm - 8 pm from September to May. we reserve the right to make changes.
Admission Adults SEK.... children and teens up to 18 free. We reserve the right to make changes.

The magnificent building has a large research library and archives, and also offers facilities for conferences and events.
The great hall can accommodate 1,500 guests. Over the year, Nordiska museet frequently organises events, including lectures, guided tours, theme days, knitting cafes, tea dances and crafts workshops
