Campsite Classification - Sweden

What do you value most on your holiday? When SCR inspects its members it assesses what the campsites offer and their standards. The results are presented in five bars to give you more information and make it easier for you to choose a campsite to suit you.

The stars show the total points for the categories of hygiene, environment, service and recreation facilities. They provide a quick overview of the standard you can expect at the campsite.

H E S R A

The five bars of coloured blocks rate the campsite based on five aspects that we know are important
to the holiday experience.  Marking scale 1-5.

VM

Wilderness camping offers a camping experience on nature's terms.  Wilderness camping is classified but not given stars or bars.

H   - Hygiene

        Standard  of the campsite's sanitary services: toilets, showers areas, laundry rooms, cooking and         washing up areas and dog showers.

E   - Environment

       Standard of the campsite's outside areas:  entrances, pitches and planting, and of the pitch                    services: power points, T V Internet, waste management, water and sewers.

S   -  Campsite's provision of a reception, supervision, guest service, trained staff, shops, restaurants            and cafes.

R   - Campsite's provision of playgrounds, swimming, assembly rooms, playing fields, minigolf,
        exercise rooms, BBQ  areas etc.,

A   -  campsite's provision of leader-led activities for children and adults, shows, dancing,etc

Participation by campsites in our classification is voluntary.  Whatever the classification result, all
SCR - affillated campsites meet certain basic requirements.
