City Hall of Stockholm
The City hall of Stockholm is a living symbol of the city, a building buzzing with activities in addition to the annual Nobel Banquet. This architecturally renowned edifice is the venue for important political debate, a busy workplace, a magnificent banqueting hall and one of Sweden's best known tourist attractions. Its 106 metre high tower also makes it a distinctive landmark in the capital. The City Hall was designed by Ragnar Ostberg and inaugurated on |Midsummer's Eve 1923.
The City Hall can also be visited with a guided tour. Guided tours are held daily in Swewdish and English at certain hours. At specific times of year, tours are also offered in a number of other languages. The tours are available for individual visitors without pre - booking, but groups of more than 10 people need to book in advance.

The toweer is open in the summer, offering a fantastic view of Stockholm. A lift goes half-way up the tower, where there is also a museum.
