Cascina Melognis - Revello, Italy
Cascina Melognis is the trade mark of Azienda Agricola Vanina Maria Carta, a winery born in Revello towards the end of 2008.
The company makes wines in an unexpected terrain, on the foothills that surround the old city of Saluzzo and the town of Revello entrance to the Po Valley, against the backdrop of the majestic Monviso.
The vineyards, located on steep slopes of red gravelly earth, are of different ages:
- those that produce the rose' wine Sinespina are 60 years old
- The vines that produce the Colline Saluzzesi Rosso DOC Ardy are 40 years old
- there are the ten- year old plots where the red wine Novamen originates.
