Festimad 2M - Madrid - Spain

This is one of the most eagerly cult events of spring in Madrid. Under the banner of "musical

biodiversity", special attention is given to alternative sound and new urban cultures. The mission

is to provide a sneak preview of the most interesting bits from the independent music scene, selecting thousands of proposals from all over the world. Since 1994, Festimad has explored the

most diverse styles and genres (pop and rock, hip-hop, funky, soul, reggae, folk, fusion) offering

emerging artists a major international showcase. Winners of the festival competition will

perform at Madrid's hottest summer musical events, beginning with Benicassim (15-18 July with a line-up that includes Prodigy, Pil and Kasaban) Festimad will again offer a hundred concerts, as

well as video exhibitiions, photography shows, meetings with artists, parties and happenings.
