Digital Life/ Empower Your Senses - Rome
Digital Life opens the program at La Pelanda, a public space for art and culture in the newly
restored former Slaughterhouse in Rome's Testaccio quarter, part of the Macro Future complex.
the show, organized by Romaeurope Foundation, focuses on mutual influences among
technology, the new media and contemporary artistic expression, to map the frontiers of the
digital future. Artistic director Richard Castelli has selected some of the most innovative artists
on the international scene, including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Schiro Takatani, Jeffrey Shaw, Ulf
Langheinrich, Michel Bruyenen, Erwin Redi, Thomas Mcintosh, Emmanuel Madan, Mikko
Hynninen, Julien Maire, Julien Maire, Christian Partos, Martux and Li Hui. All their multi-media installations are being shown for the first time in Italy, many for the first time anywhere;
some are site specific. They link together to form a single, original path designed to engage the
senses of the viewer.
