Healthy Stir-fry Beef with Lemon Grass And Basil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 stalks lemon grass, finely chopped
4 shallots, finely chopped
2 green chillies, deseeded and finely chopped
600g sirloin steak, cut into finger strips
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 lemon, juice only
2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, shredded
Heat wok, add oil, then the lemon grass, shallots and chillies, stir-fry for 2 minutes.
Add the beef and stir-fry for another 5 minutes
Add the sugar, lemon juice and stir-fry for 1 minute more.
Season to taste, sprinkle over basil.
Serve with steamed rice.
