Sick of smug know-it all TV chefs, travel writer and journalist Michael Booth burnt his

collection of cookbooks and uprooted to Paris with his young family to enroll at the world famous

Le Cordon Bleu cookery school. The result is somewhere between a satirical Bill Bryson-esque

travel memoir and a cookery lesson with Willy Wonka. Booth shares the lessons learnt on his
