Broccoli Hong Kong Style
1 lb broccoli 1 teaspoon gin
3 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons stock (or water)
2 tablespoons soya sauce
Start by washing the broccoli and cut into pieces 1 1/2 inches long.
Heat oil, sprinkle in salt, and cook the broccoli uncovered for 8 minutes, shaking the pan from
time to time.
Mix soya sauce, gin and sugar and pour over the broccoli.
Add hot stock, cover, bring to the boil, cook for 2 minutes and serve.
