Apple Paradise - Dessert
1 lb cooking apples
1/2 pint thick custard
2 ozs currants
Sponge fingers
Peel, core and slice the apples.
Put a tablespoon of water into a saucepan, add the apples, cover and cook over a gentle heat.
When soft, remove from heat.
Beat apples to a pulp, add the custard and continue beating.
Finally stir in the currants.
Pour into 3 or 4 glasses.
Leave to cool and serve with sponge fingers.
