NICE puts on its dancing shoes this winter as the 125th Nice Carnival comes to town.
The origins of the carnival date back to the Middle Ages, when the town's residents enjoyed
a huge feast before fasting for lent.
This year's theme is "King of the Masquerades" so expect to see an outrages display of masks
costumes and flots gracing the streets, as well as the usual music, dancing, fireworks and
flower parades on the Promenade des Anglais and around the city.
