Castel park - Bad Sackingen. Germany
The worth seeing trumpet workshop is right next to picturesque main entrance and is framed by old chestnut trees. Renovated in 2003, the official building houses the land registry office and the municipal archives. In the middle of a circular flower bed and burbling fountain arises the trumpeter monument built by Josef Henselmann in 1976. The "little" trumpeter adorns the outside staircase at the rear of the castle. For years, many plays have been performed at the open air theatre, whereas the concert shell is the location for the dominical spa concerts.
The bronze Sheffel bust of the Munich sculptor Menges became a place of honour framed by plants of green and flowers. While the other parts of the monument (the original location of the monument was the cathedral place) have been destroyed by the wars, the Sheffel bust was saved.
