The Sea, Nature In Movement - Vigo, Spain


The sea is an ever present in virtually every corner of the city .   Getting closer couldn't be easier, Vigo boasts 45 sandy beaches ranging from the largest, the 1,800 metre long Samil Beach, to the most secluded in Saikna.

Samil is a city beach, although it is on the outskirts of the city.  The facilities on offer  -  the gardens, swimming pools, restaurants, clubsand sports centres - make it one of Vigo's most popular spots both in summer and winter.

Other nearby beaches heading out to sea areFox, Calzoa, Fuchifioa, Fontana, O Vao (biggest picture.  Canido, Sobreira, and Portifio, among others, all of which feature the same fine, white sand and crystal- clear waters.  Heading back toward the city you can also find the smaller beaches of Cocho, Tombo do Cato, Fontes, Carril and Adro.    Finally youhave the estuary beaches at the foot of A Ciula Punta, Lagoa, Areifio and Rica
