Villa Ludwigshone castle is a spectacular eyecatcher perched high above Edenkoben Ludwig 1 of
Bavaria built this, his summer residence as an "Italian-Style Villa"

From the Loggia guests can enjoy sweeping views of the hardwood floors and richly detailed ceiling and wall paintings.   Today, Villa Ludwigshone also houses the Mainz State Museum's Max Slevogt
Galerie and a Hinder / Reimers Collection featuring 20th century ceramic art belonging to the State of Rhineland Palatinate.
