A short drive inland from Santa Cruz, over scenic Hecker Pass (Highway 152 a beautiful mountain road that winds alternately through fields, oak-studded hills, acres of flowers and vineyards), is the community of Gilroy, Nestled in the lush Gavilan foothills between the Santa Cruz mountains and the
Diablo range.  Gilroy is located at the northern tip of the Central Coast at the crossroads between Highway 101 (north & South) and Highway 152 (running east & west).

Gilroy's rich agricultural heritage includes the distinction of being one of California's oldest grape-producing regions.
