1. St. Stephen's Basilica

This is the largest church in Budapest, and it was named after Saint Stephen, who established the
Hungarian state.
2. Heroes' Square

Heroes' Square along with Andrassy Avenue - which is the longest avenue of the city - as well as

3. Chain Bridge

4. Buda Castle District

former Royal Palace housing museums and national collections. Sandor Palace which is the office
of the President of Hungary. The changing of the Guards in front of the Palace is one of the Buda

Castle Hill Funicular this funicular railway links Clark Adam Square and the Szechenyl
Chain Bridge at river level to Budd Castle above.
- It's upper station is right between the Royal Palace and Sandor Palace. It operates daily
7.30 am - 10 pm every 5 - 10 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the stations.

6 The Great Synagogue
This is the biggest Synagogue in Europe (and the second biggest in the World). the center of the
Jewish population in Hungary who preserve their traditions until today. There is also a museum
to be visited in the building, and the Synagogue serves as the venue of the Summer Jewish
Festival.

7. Gellert Hill
Gellert Hill rises 130 meters above the Danube River. It is one of the most adventurous natural features of the city with its steep, rocky slopes, if you feel like hiking a little, start your trip from
St Gellert Square and take the foothpath to the summit, to the majestic STATUE OF LIBERTY,
It is the statue of a female shape holding a palm branch over her head. Once you are up, you
will be flattered by the panoramic view.

8 Vaci Street & Vorosmarty Square
Vorosmarty Square is the real center of public life in Pest. It connects Duna-korzo-the
promenade along the Danube - with Vaci Street, which is the most well-known pedestrian streets

It can be found in the CITY PARK just a few minutes from HEROES' SQUARE. The
romantic building complex, built around the 19th - 20th century, was designed by Ignac Alpar
and it presents the development of architecture using different styles. At the foot of the
castle there is an artificial pond, in the summer it operates as a boating pond, while in the winter
it is turned into an ice rink. It's worthwhile taking a walk in and around the courtyard of the
