Ruin Pubs - Budapest, Hungary

Ruin - pubs are especially popular among young locals and tourists alike.  But what is a ruin pub?
Literally saying, it is a pub in a ruin.  These pubs are situated in the heart of Budapest in derelict buildings., cellars or unused outdoor spaces, which have been transformed into friendly, pleasingly chaotic bars.  Designers has no limitations, they could use anything :  old machines, bicycles, sewing machines and typewriters mixed with worn-down furniture, modern paintings and graffiti creating psychedelic interiors which change from place to place - no matter where you go, you will find something interesting.
While visiting Budapest, make sure you have a pint of beer in one of the ruin pubs. But watch out:  the atmosphere is addicting, and soon you will find yourself talking to someone next to you.
In most places there are live concerts as well. So have a drink or more, and by the time you have a look at your watch, it is already dawning.
