Kraichgau - Baden, Germany

Gentle wine land of a thousand hills

For centuries now, wine has determined history, culture, and outlook on life in Kraichgau Stromberg. Also lovingly dubbed the " Land of 1000 Hills"  this is where the Germany's largest wine growing regions adjoin.

Baden and Wurttemberg meet here to create a region  of highly exquisite charm.  More than two dozen
grape varieties grow between the hillsides of the Rhine plateau and those along the Neckar, with over 200 winegrowers in Baden and Wurttemberg creating numerous award winning wines.
Enthusiasts have a chance to taste Baden's Rieslings as well as Wurttemberg" Trollingers and Lembergers.  The many small museums (e.g. wine and pastry museums), thrilling villages featuring timber frame architectures, and several insider tips give Baden Wurttemberg  - en miniature" its special
flair.
