Gluten Free Bread Recipe
250g gluten free plain flour 1/2 tsp salt 3.5g dried yeast
1 tbsp caster sugar 37g margarine 175ml milk
1 egg, beaten 1 tsp vinegar
Method:
Place the flour, salt yeast and sugar in a bowl, add butter and milk just warm, then add egg and vinegar. Beat until soft and slightly sticky Oil a 1/2 kilo loaf tin put the bread mixture into the tin, cover with oiled cling film and leave to stand until the mixture has risen by 3 cm.
Preheat oven to 220 C/ 425 F / Gas Mark 7
Bake the bread for 15 min then reduce temperature to 200 C / 425 F / Gas Mark 6 bake for a further 30 min or until golden brown. Insert a skewer in centre to check if is cooked well.
Remove from tin and allow to cool completely before slicing.
